Re: Please pray for my chows! Gastroenterisis...
A belated thank you for all your concern and prayers! I was only able to read your replies now, after almost 2 years. I forgot that I even posted this, but I know your prayers really helped because Clowie and Parsifal are still alive, healthy, and happy! Thank youuuu!

Please pray for my chows! Gastroenterisis...
Hi guys! Please help pray for my 2 chows, Clowie and Parsifal. Both of them have HGE (hemorrhaegic gastroenterisis) right now. They vomit and poop blood. Pars had it first but we went to the vet Monday and the vet gave him antibiotics and right now he's doing well. His appetite is back and he is dri...

Question about shots
Hi guys! My chow, Clowie, got her annual shots today and I forgot to ask the vet if I can give her a bath. So is it okay to give a chow a bath after shots? If not, how long do I have to wait? thanks for the help

Is this a skin disease
It's like brownish red coffee grounds (sort of look like ear mites except that they're not in the ears) but only on the tail and below the muzzle, somewhere along the neck. But I don't think it's scabies either because Clowie had scabies before and it doesn't look like that. It hasn't spread and if ...

How to Celebrate
Help, guys! My chow Clowie is turning 1 this October 20. I want to celebrate but I don't know how. Do you have any ideas on how I can make her birthday extra special? (especially since she just saved us from a fire and from burglars) Like, is there a type of cake dogs can eat? Perhaps you can also s...

In heat too early?
Clowie had her second heating season today. Last time she had was April 14. I heard that it has to be about 6 months before she comes in heat again. But it's only been 4 months. Is this normal?

Underbite
I found out Clowbear has an underbite! She's only 5 months old though and yesterday, she lost her first tooth. Her lower gums are protruding more than her upper gums. Will this change as she gets older? If not, is there anything I can do to correct this?

Clow Bear has ear mites
We went to the vet and was given some drops to put in her ears. Nasty ear mites. :-x Then we peeked in the microscope and the ear mites were really disgusting. I was wondering tho where ear mites come from and if they return...? And how many times a day do chows normally make poo poo? (totally unrel...

I'm having the same trouble with my Clowie. :( SHe LOVES to mouth people and I've done all the advice and all I've read from doggy books and SHE STILL won't stop. I'm not even sure she knows she's hurting us with her teeth. I scream, say 'ow' and she still chews. I spray her, she stops for a moment....

My Clowie is so funny...^_^
I tried teaching her to 'sit' by rewarding her with a treat. She learned quite fast...well, sort of. Now she sits everytime i SHOW her the treat...but she NEVER sits when I tell her to. Does anybody have the same experience with their pups? (I think she deliberately disobeys me, like, "I'll onl...

Thanks a lot for the advice, you guys. :D I give her 2.5 cups a day now. One cup in the morning, half cup for lunch, and another cup for dinner. So I guess I have to trust her to stop eating when she's full.(thank God Chow Chows don't live up to their names ) It's odd because I always give her the s...

How Much Should I Feed
My Clowie is 3 months old. Until recently, she's been content with half a cup of dog food, 3 times a day. But lately, she seems to be craving for more. How much should I feed her without her getting overweight?
