Re: Mr. Chew please wait for me
Boo Daddy, I am sorry I did not understand before. I just watched your memorial video for Boo and am sitting here in tears - I so understand the love you felt for him and still feel. He looks so special , truly, and no doubt that is partly because of the love you gave him. The more we love our bubbi...

Re: Mr. Chew please wait for me
Thank you. What sweet bright eyed babies you have. It is so weird because until I was thirty I was afraid of all dogs. Then I ended up with 4 and being a single woman for so long they really became my family. Those years will always be in my heart like nothing else I ever lived. Loading them up in m...

Re: Chow verses the pit bull
There is no contest - your chow will lose because of the bite style and tenacity of the pit bull - I experienced this first hand several years ago in Atlanta, Ga., when a pit bull broke through a pivacy wall while I was walking my dogs and nearly killed my two chows. If the owner/dogsitter had not b...

God Bless Kai. I am so sorry. I just went through something simlar - very sudden and tragic - and my home and my heart are so empty without him. Time helps - but I think because of our great love it changes us forever. They certainly make their mark on us don't they? Love is such a mystery. A beauti...

Thank you both so very much. Auddymay, I am so sorry about Pip. Wouldn't it be really wonderful if they are there for us? I can't imagine anything better. KIngalls, I do hope he knows. It is all such a mystery. Where they come from, how we come to love them so much, and where they go and why. I pray...

Re: Mr. Chew please wait for me
Thank you so much. It makes me feel so good to know you remember him. He was my boss for so long I am lost without him. He regulated my day. Especially near the end with the eternally changing special diets, supplements, meds - he always kept me on my toes. The thing that is so hard is that he died ...

Mr. Chew please wait for me
Mr. Chew has gone on ahead of me. I am going to miss him so much. He has been my family for 16 1/2 years. I pray we are together again in paradise. I have been doing a lot of drawings of him to cope with the pain try and help me heal. I had lots of nicknames for Mr Chew. http://i138.photobucket.com/...

Re: colitis in older chow
No worries! I am from the states, but now I call Cyprus home. I was muchos pleased with the price of the Kaolin. I guess some things are still a bargain. Just to update on the subject. Mr Chew is 15+ years old and has been on previcox for his arthritis (on top of all the glucosamine, msm, shark cart...

Re: colitis in older chow
Hi again. I am in Cyprus in the EU. I found it at Chemist Direct online in the UK and ordered it. I hope it is the right stuff. My husband is from the UK and he seems to remember this product. He said the adult version had morphine in it. I said, "Well I don't guess they sell that over the coun...

Re: colitis in older chow
Thanks so much that is really helpful info. Can you please tell me what this Kaolin is? I have never heard of it. That is interesting about the aloe vera because I had all three of our dogs on it as a preventative health measure for the last 2-3 years. I used to put a capful or two of the juice in t...

colitis in older chow
Does anyone have any experience with colitis in a senior chow? We started antibiotics last Friday and had his bloodwork done. He is still not very interested in food, though he eats a little. he likes the Nutrical and takes that. At times he seems very restless and I haven't seen any poop from him i...

Re: Please pray for my chows! Gastroenterisis...
How are your doggies? I just checked in because my chow has had a bad colitis and I saw your post. My other dog had a life threatening gastritis this summer. Our groomer recommended bland no fat poached fish and it was a great help to get her to eat again when she was ready. We also feed her the Hil...

Re: Rimadyl, Adequan success stories?
I will check into the 1800 pet meds. Maybe there is something like it in Europe. Getting vitamins, supplements, and drugs from the US into this country is so hard. Getting a sweater in is hard enough. But I will look into it. Please, keep me posted on how Zilla's progress with the Adequan course. I ...

Re: Rimadyl, Adequan success stories?
Good help everyone. Thank you for your responses. I've been online and it appears that as afar as the NSAIDS Previcox has the safest record. I can only guess that drug hasn't made it to the island yet. I'll have to do some investigating to see if we can get it. Anybody else have any experiences they...

Rimadyl, Adequan success stories?
Are there any people out there with Rimadyl success stories? Mr. Chew is 15 years old and we have been on Glucosamine and Chondrotin since he was about 8. Just recently the arthritis seems to have taken a turn beyond what Glucosamine can do. I know the negative about Rimadyl, please don't barage me ...
