Re: relocating with our Chow

so the product that we used for the whole summer is called "Grass saver" made by naturvet. It worked very well, she didn't seem to have any adverse affects to it, and the lawn is green...so mission accomplished.

Re: Sweet potato treats?

Kira has had them (one bag) and she seemed to like them....I thought they would be a good chew for her and are more natural then some treats. But only in moderation. the natural sugars can be a problem.

chow fancier....what probiotics does your household consume? and how much?...wouldn't know what I was looking for if I went to get some...so any direction in that order would be apreciated. I know vets get about as much nutritional education as family doctors do! SO this is why I have turned here fo...

Re: I'm at a loss!

Was just reviewing the blue buffalo site...and have now sent them a questioning letter..... Just wondering how you can claim that the dry dog foods are gluten free? they contain barley products which are not gluten free and oatmeal, which is by nature gluten free until it is harvested on the same ma...

I'm at a loss!

First a little history...Kira is 3 1/2..fixed female...we love her to death, when we first got her she had some hot spots we took her to the vet he didn't know thought perhaps she just some allergies offered to take a biopsy and send it off. We live in an area that has virtually no chows...so he's n...

Re: Brands of food our chows eat...

when we got Kira she was just a puppy on Eukanuba...didn't think too much about it and the breeder's dogs all looked good. But we ended up having problems with her coat....was it food or allergies? not sure...but we have since changed her food. We did Eagle pack holistic for a while and that was OK....

If dearest Kira were human......

she was born of a family of champions...but not for her quirky tail she could follow them, instead she was able to escape her destiny as cinderella. Flown many miles across the country to a loving family for her to rule, and become a champion of theirs to love.

She ended up having both a very minor yeast infection combined with a major cockeye(sp) infection. We had to leave her at the doctor's for the day. They sedated her to cip her ears and were going to giver them a proper cleaning, and then give us the medicated drops for her ears. There was also a bit...

should she be part of this site or should her dog's keepers? Lets face it like her or not....she is far too busy to be very involved with her chows. They likely feel more attached to the handlers and groomers! Maybe its the animal guy from her other show she had!
