Re: jumping on people-please HELP!!
thanks so much for the replies. good news...Simba's not jumping so much when I come home. actually, he doesn't jump on me at. However, i've noticed he does jump on my cousins and my mom and bf. I've told them not to allow him to do that and ignore Simba if it happens again. Ignoring actually was how...

Re: jumping on people-please HELP!!
Awww...well Samson, my chow chow is only 7 months old and he does jump on me when I enter the door. I know it's his way of greeting me but he does it to everyone (my mom, bf, cousins, aunts, uncles)...well mostly family so far. But I don't really want it to be a habit because I know that there are a...

Re: socializing my chow chow-WHERE?
Thanks so much for the replies. My Simba is 7 months old. Yes, how old is he and how long have you had him? Is he good with people? I walk my Chows and let select people pat them. They always get lots of attention from strangers but I'm careful who I let touch them. You could try bringing him to Pet...

socializing my chow chow-WHERE?
Hi...I hope I'm not being repetitive but I'd like to know where are the best places to socialize my chow chow. I understand that socializing a chow from the very beginning is very very important; however, I don't know too many places to have him socialized. I've taken him around in eatery districts ...

jumping on people-please HELP!!
Hello...I'm sorry if this problem was already addressed. I just haven't gone through all training topics. But my chow chow, Simba, loves to jump on people. He jumps on me when I come home. He jumps on my mom and my cousins. Even, when we have guests, he jumps on them too. I know he's just excited to...

shedding a bit after a bath
Hello...my 6 month old chow chow, Simba, gets bathed at a grooming place near my house. He's only been there 3 times and all times, he's shed a bit. Every time I would pick him up after his bath, bits of fur would fly all over the place. Even if I pet him, some of his fur would seem like it's fallin...

changing food and adding vitamins...HELP
Hello, I've had my chow chow, Simba, for two and a half months now. When he was given to us, he was about 4 months old and he was eating Purina Puppy Chow. When I went to the local pet store to buy his food, I was informed that Purina Puppy Chow was equivalent to fast food joints in terms of poor qu...

New Owner (sort-of) Needs Advice
Hi, I just recently got a chow-chow yesterday. His name is Simba and he's 4 months old. The problem was, he couldn't stay with me and my bf b/c my bf's dad doesn't like dogs and since we live under his house, we have to follow that one rule. So, my mom agreed to take him b/c she lives by herself in ...
